The Joola World Cup table tennis table is a mid-range table from an established brand.

So let's take a closer look at all aspects of this table so that you can decide whether the Joola World Cup is the right table for you.

You can also see a list of all Joola table tennis tables here.

You may also want to read my article explaining how to choose the right table tennis table for you.

I recommend that you don't buy ANY table tennis table until you've read it.

Note: Very few tables have rackets (also known as paddles or bats) and balls supplied as standard, so you'll need to check with your supplier if you need them. In addition, some tables have a net and post set included, whilst others do not, so again, check with your supplier if you need them.

The "playback" position

Joola World Cup table tennis table in the playback position

When you're erecting or storing this table, each half of the playing surface independently tilts into an upright position.

This feature, which is present on many basic and mid-range tables, enables it to be used by one person, using the upright section of the table as an opponent/backboard.

Once fully assembled, some tables comprise two separate halves, whilst others are one piece. This Joola World Cup table tennis table has two separate halves which push together.

Here's the table in its storage position

When you're not using the table, you may want to store it away.

This is how the table looks in its storage position with each half of the playing surface in an upright position.

The storage dimensions for this table in this position are:

  • Height: 166cm / 66 inches
  • Width: 122cm / 48 inches
  • Depth: 62cm / 27 inches

However, as each half of the table is completely separate from the other, you can store them separately or together.

In addition, each half can be used as a free-standing mini table.

The apron and the undercarriage

Joola World Cup table tennis table undercarriage

This table has a metal apron immediately underneath the playing surface and a sturdy metal undercarriage.

The metal apron helps support the playing surface and reduce the opportunity for it to warp easily, whilst the sturdy 50mm metal undercarriage will help prevent the table from moving accidently, or even collapsing when leant on.

The legs are locked into position by the cross struts which makes for a strong construction.

The wheels

Joola World Cup table tennis table wheels

This table has eight sturdy wheels - four on each half.

When you need to move the table (usually when it's in its storage position) these wheels will be extremely useful.

A good set of wheels will enable the table to be moved around easily after the table is put into it's storage position, and the quality of the wheels may determine how many people are required to move the table.

Whilst this table has eight sturdy wheels, not all tables have wheels, especially the higher-end, more expensive tables, so you'll need to check before you buy if this is an important feature for you.

Adjustable height legs

Joola World Cup table tennis table legs

This table has adjustable corner legs, which are not found on many tables.

As it's important that the playing surface is level, this is a great feature to have.

So, if this table is used in a location where the floor is uneven, you'll appreciate the adjustable height legs on this model.

All four corner legs are adjustable so you can compensate for an uneven floor by adjusting the rubber feet.

Is there a net supplied with this table?

Joola table tennis table net

You'll need to check with your supplier whether a net and post set is included.

Not all tables are supplied with a net and post set (and very few have rackets, also known as paddles or bats, and balls supplied as standard).

It's easy to overlook this when buying a table tennis table.

However, you can easily buy a net and post set to fit onto this table.

The ITTF rules state that the length of the net must be 6 feet, and the height must be 6 inches. It must also be adjustable.

You may also want to read my article explaining how to choose the right table tennis net for you.

I recommend that you don't buy ANY table tennis net until you've read it.

Who is this Joola World Cup Table Tennis Table for?

This table is a great choice if you want a competition grade table to use at clubs and schools, or if you want to play seriously at home.

Ideally, you would assemble the table and leave it permanently erected, but it can be stored without too much trouble.

This table is designed for indoor use only and if used outdoors you take a risk that the playing surface may warp.

If you want a good quality affordable table, this would be a great choice.

This table has not been submitted for testing by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), so it is not an "authorised" ITTF table.

However, that just means that it cannot be used for ITTF approved official events, although it's suitable for everyday use.
